Biography.

Raised in Massachusetts, Christen studied film as an undergraduate at NYU and received her MFA in Creative Writing from Emerson College.  In a past life, she worked as a CBS casting assistant and as a receptionist at a celebrity PR firm.  While in graduate school, she was a Fiction Editor of Redivider, Emerson's student-run literary journal.  Her work has appeared in The New Orleans Review, The Portland Review, Natural Bridge, and Phoebe, among other journals.  Her story "Cats with Pitiful Mystiques," published by Quick Fiction, was a 2008 Pushcart Prize nominee.  Christen currently teaches writing at Northeastern University.
